• Beyond Organic

We strive to have the highest standards possible, beyond organic requirements. We give our cattle nothing but grass and we do not use any chemicals on our land or cattle. We do not use any antibiotics and cattle that we may have to treat for sickness are not butchered.

  • Regenerative Farming

Regenerative farming benefits the land and cattle. It allows the pastures time to regenerate before being grazed again and also promotes the best grass to be grazed by the cattle. This is why we work so hard to improve soil health and heal the land.

  • Fresh

We keep our beef as fresh as possible so you can be confident it will mantain quality.

Beef in America is predominately produced with one thing in mind; quantity. In conventional agriculture, bigger is better, and the desire for quality has gone to the wayside. America has lost the art of agriculture and has turned it into a factory-style system. This has had devastating effects on our society which has led to a society of extremely unhealthy people. Quality and quantity can not go hand-in-hand. Pasture 104 Farms chooses the quality route by practicing regenerative agriculture.

True grass-fed products are naturally higher in CLA and Omega-3 than meat products from grain supplemented animals. CLA researcher Dr. Tilak Dhiman has found the following benefits of eating grass-fed beef in comparison to grain-fed beef:

1

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is 300-500% higher in grass-fed beef versus grain-fed beef. CLA is an essential fatty acid with some pretty amazing properties. People who get alot of CLA from their food are at a lower risk of heart disease, Type 2 Diabetes and cancer. Getting your daily recommended CLA from grass-fed beef is far better than using CLA supplements which are chemically derived from vegetable oil.

2

400% more Vitamin A. Vitamin A is a cancer fighter and is linked to good vision. It is also necessary for bone development and the prevention of skin disorders. Grass-fed beef has 400% more Vitamin A in the liver than grain-fed beef.

3

300% more Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that lowers the risk of both heart disease and cancer. Antioxidants are also considered to be “anti-aging” agents that help your body resist the negative impact of oxidation.

4

75% more Omega-3. Omega-3 is a powerful anti-cancer agent and is essential for a sharp, well-functioning brain. It also reduces blood pressure and lowers heart attack risk. For good health a 2-to-1 Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio is recommended. The diet of most Americans is currently estimated to be a 20-to-1 Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio.

5

78% more Beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant which helps lower the risk of Alzheimer’s and age-related cognitive decline, cataracts and muscular degeneration.
